Practicing my facial features - Mouth
In a bit more of my spare time after work, I've been trying to work on my drawing of mouths, and it's been helping me.
I wanted to create an animation based on mouths for a song, Home, by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
This animation came to me when I was watching a video of them playing it live, and I kept watching the facial features of her face as she sings; she was always smiling, even when singing. I wanted to create a close-up retroscope-like animation of her lips in a style similar to an artist called Luke Dixon's style.
I started off by creating basic emotions of the lips. However, I have made them look a lot more sinister than I originally wanted, which comes across through my drawing technique and the aggressive nature of it.
The style I would want to look more towards is luke dixon, which I'll add a photo of here:
